Introduction
This API offers an interface to the "Universal Register Tool" (URT) and the "Universal Register Debugger" (URD). Both tools released by NXP (formerly Philips Semiconductors) can be used to manipulate and/or read out registers of ICs via I2C.
The URT/URD API has been developed in co-operation with NXP (formerly Philips Semiconductors), the inventor of the I2C bus. It is used e.g. to program the NXP UOC III (Ultimate One Chip Third Generation) IC in a lot of factories world-wide. |
This API supports the master mode of the telos I2C products.
Manual
To get an impression of the URT/URD API we recommend to
download the manual, which contains the complete description
of the API together with several examples.
Download
You can download the URT/URD API as part of I2C Studio. The API can be tested even without a real I2C product as I2C Studio contains a virtual I2C product.
