Which modes can Tracii have at one time? Friday 06. June 2003 Age: 9 yrs

All the modes are exklusive i.e. Tracii can either be master, slave or tracer.

Switching between modes is possible using TraciiWork. Since changing modes takes some time it is not recommended to frequently switch Tracii in one application.

I need a different I2C termination Friday 06. June 2003 Age: 9 yrs

Tracii 400 has several I2C terminations available. With the help of jumper JP4 values of 4k7, 8k2 and 15k can be selected. Any parallel combination of them is possible either. Moreover it is possible to disable the termination at all.

The termination values are printed on-board.

I2C addresses can be notified with 7 or 8 bits. The Tracii software provides the option use I2C-bus device addresses in 7 and 8 bit notation.

I.e. the least significant bit of the first I2C-bus message - the read or write bit - is no part of the address.

What is the resolution for time stamps? Friday 06. June 2003 Age: 9 yrs

It depends. Tracii offers high resolution for smaller periods but is able to process longer periods too. Thus, the resolution depends on the actual transmission time of the data bytes. The below table shows the transmission time of the databytes and the resolution time stamps are offering.

Tracii supports the bidirectional EPP mode whilst ECP is not supported. Please check the documentation of your computer or BIOS on instructions how to set your parallel port to EPP mode.
