EPROM Version (1.2)
* A new firmware for Tracii 400 is now available which introduces some minor enhancements
in multimaster mode.

3. Tips & Tricks
----------------
1. Did you know that Tracii Spy provides alias names for the device addresses?
Up to five characters are available for a device name. The device names appear
in all views. They can be used to specify an address in the filter/trigger conditions.
Use the Device Table dialog in the setting menu to specify and the General Options
dialog to enable/disable the condition.
2. Did you know that Tracii Talk provides several buffer modi in the Slave Mode?
If you use the software buffer Tracii Talk stretches the I¦C-bus between each byte,
because the software controls the transmission of each single byte.
To avoid problems with master devices that do not support the stretch feature use
the hardware buffer. In this case the software stores the data into the buffer before
the data request of the Master. The Tracii-Board is able to sent the data immediately without
stretching the I¦C-bus. Please note that Tracii-Talk cannot find out how many data
of the hardware buffer was sent. Thus, some data in the Log-Window are displayed in
brackets.
3. Tracii-Board: Serial Resistors
Some customers noticed that the Tracii 400 board is unable to pull the SDA and SCL lines
low enough for communication. This happened only when using small external termination
resistors (about 1k Ohm). This problem is caused by two serial resistors (R5/R6) which
are used to protect the SDA and SCL line of Tracii 400. If you experience the same
problem, these resistors which have a value of 220 Ohm must be replaced by some lower
values (we recommend 22 Ohm).
You can find the resistors R5 and R6 close to the I¦C-bus connector. R5 protects SCL
and R6 is used for the SDA line.
