I2C Integrated Level Shifter, Test and Prototyping Board
Audrii is designed to serve the following purposes:
- I2C Bus Level Shifting
- I2C Rapid Application Development
- I2C-related Education
The main components of the board are an internal 5 volt I2C bus, I2C sample devices, a level shifter and a prototyping area.
The internal bus joins the sample devices and the level shifter. An external 5 volt I2C bus can be connected directly to the internal I2C bus via a dedicated connector. A second connector, which directs to the level shifter, allows 1.8-6 volt I2C buses to be connected to the internal bus.
The board must be powered, if the sample devices are used. The source can be an external power supply or an external 5 volt I2C bus connected to the board.
Audrii comes without cables / power-supply.
Education
When Audrii is equipped with the microcontroller as an I2C master and one or more I2C slave devices (the I/O-expander is always available), it provides a complete I2C bus-based system. So, Audrii is a suitable tool in I2C-related education.
